Drawing inspiration from the beauty of nature and a desire to challenge architectural norms, the design concept took shape as a mesmerizing figure 8 spiral, offering continuous fluid movement and ever-changing vantage points. The unique radial design provides a captivating and immersive experience, liberating inhabitants from the constraints of their past and inviting them to embrace a new, freespirited way of life. The harmony between the house and its lush surroundings was paramount. Carefully selected materials, including concrete, wood, and natural stone, seamlessly integrate the structure with the greenery, adding an element of sophistication and modernity.

매혹적인 나선형 구조가 돋보이는 The Loop는 발리의 푸른 정글 속 삶을 재정의한다. "우리는 평생 상자 속에 살아왔다, 이제 우리는 그 반대를 찾는다." 짧고 명료한 클라이언트의 의뢰 아래 설계를 맡은 도르니에는 발리의 전통적인 삶에서 벗어나 자유를 수용할 수 있는 주거지를 위해 과감하고 변형적인 시도를 선보였다. 자연의 아름다움과 전형적인 건축 규범을 타파하고자 하는 열망에서 영감을 얻은 디자인 콘셉트는 8자 형태의 나선형으로 구체화되었고, 연속적이고 유동적인 움직임과 끊임 없는 변화를 상징한다. 땅 위에 떠 있는 듯한 가파른 경사면 위 우아하게 위치한 하우스는 정글 환경과 조화롭게 어우러지며, 집과 자연 사이에 조성된 조경은 두 공간 사이 경계를 허물어 일체감을 부여한다.

The house stands gracefully on a steep slope, seemingly floating above the ground, harmoniously integrating with the jungle environment. 나선형을 따라 올라가는 각 공간들은 사용자의 동선을 고려해 적절하게 배치됐으며, 숨막힐 듯 아름다운 자연을 어디에서나 발견할 수 있다. The Loop는 복잡하고 기하학적인 디자인을 구현하기 위해 꼼꼼한 기획과 숙련된 장인과의 협업이 필수적이었다. 클라이언트는 디자이너와 긴밀한 협력관계를 구축하고, 자재 선정 및 설계에 적극적으로 참여해 프로젝트를 성공적으로 이끌었으며, 이를 계기로 주인 의식과 공간에 대한 각별한 애정을 고취한다. 그렇게 완성된 독특한 디자인은 거주자들을 과거의 제약과 한계에서 해방시키고, 자유분방한 삶의 방식을 수용할 수 있도록 돕는다. 또한 협업과 혁신의 힘, 인간의 무한한 창조성 등 건축가의 의지를 증명하는 증거이자, The Loop를 접하는 모든 사람들에게 영감을 불어넣는 매개체로 작용한다.
